From the beginning of his chapters, St. Gregory puts us, without any detour, on the path of prayer. Many chapters show very simply and clearly in what way the work of prayer enables us to bear the whole Divinity and to be flooded with God’s mercy. Moreover, it unloosens certain problems or difficulties that arise in our lives. I would say that prayer, as the Saint presents it, is our own digging, that is to say the result of digging in our heart to find God. And the more we dig, the more we find Him.
