“Our liturgy, my beloved, is an engagement to Christ, a wedding. It brings us into His kingdom. Then we go out again to go to our home with our passions, with our sins, with our miseries. It makes no difference! We’ll go to Mass again, we’ll rapture Christ again, he’ll make us humble again. And so, by a continual struggle, by a continual journey, with the priest before us and us behind him, we will reach the kingdom of heaven. Do we go to Mass with this desire? Then we have secured the kingdom of heaven.”
