“Even if I grow weary in my prayer, in my appearance before God, even if I do not know God, even if I doze, or do not understand, or run away from the words of prayer, or live in a thousand darknesses, I am sure that in this ignorance of mine, in my blindness, in this darkness of mine, God is present, God hears me, God sees me, God is present. May I not want to delight in Him. I want – so to speak – God to delight in me. I want God to delight in me.”
