Once again, Athos proves itself to be at the height befitting the foremost place of Orthodoxy: a lonely life, but also a mission for those in the world, a prayer of the hesychast faith, but also words of salvation for those who seek it in society. Above all, we see here the love of God and the care of the Mother of God that “all men may be saved and live in the knowledge of the truth” and that the priceless treasures of Orthodoxy may be known by all who seek salvation, “their proclamation has gone forth to every place and their message to the ends of the earth”.
