Whether you are in the world or on the summit of Athon, you are a fighter and you must take heed. Particularly in the world, where there are many more occasions for offense and sin, the fight must be stronger and more uncompromising. Above all, attention must be paid to our thoughts, for that is where sin and virtue begin. Let us have unceasing watchfulness of the mind over the various thoughts that pass through it and try to enter and remain, and destroy the ruling part of our soul. When you taste Christ, you don’t want to take your mind off Him. You marvel at His handiwork, what He has done, what love He has, and ceaselessly desire to live out loving connections with Him.
