The wealth of miracles with which this great Saint of the Church is associated eclipses, to a large extent, his theological side and his didactic-pedagogical activity. St. Nectarios will not be dishonored if these realities of his personality so complex will be neglected or passed in silence, but the Church itself will be dishonored if we do not begin to speak as often about St. Nectarios the Philocalical, as we have become accustomed to speak about St. Nectarios the Wonder-worker. To this end I have also set about translating and editing the short but dense texts in this volume.
